Learning Goal: Today I will examine the setting in my ISU novel and examine how it influences the events that have already happened.
Minds On: In your book groups, brainstorm and make a list of as many aspects of the setting as you can. Remember to think about time (of day, of year, century, past, present, future, geography and landscape, temperature), who and what is present and helps you identify important aspects about the setting.
Action: Read! As you are reading, it may be helpful for you to record important facts or dialogue that exemplify setting.
Consolidation: You must now, on your own, draw an important scene from your novel!

Although I do not expect you to be masterful artists, you should include the important aspects of setting so viewers can get a clear understanding of the scene you are depicting.
